Aizawl

Vantawng Falls

The highest waterfall in Mizoram, located near Thenzawl. Surrounded by dense forests, it cascades from 750 feet and is a breathtaking sight. A must-visit for nature lovers and photographers.

 

Thenzawl

Phawngpui (Blue Mountain)

Hmuifang

Tam Dil Lake

A peaceful man-made lake near Saitual, surrounded by forest. Ideal for boating, picnics, and quiet relaxation. “Tam Dil” means “Lake of Mustard” in Mizo.

 

Lunglei

The second-largest town in Mizoram, known for its scenic setting and cultural sites. Offers views of the River Tlawng and is a base for exploring southern Mizoram. Visit Saikuti Hall, Zobawk Sports Academy, and nearby caves.

 

Dampa Tiger Reserve

A wildlife sanctuary in western Mizoram near the Bangladesh border. Home to elephants, leopards, hoolock gibbons, and rare birds. A remote but rewarding destination for wildlife enthusiasts.

 

Rih Dil (Myanmar border)

A beautiful, heart-shaped lake located in Myanmar but culturally sacred to Mizos. Can be visited via Champhai town and a border pass. Holds spiritual and historical significance in Mizo folklore.

Known as the “Rice Bowl of Mizoram,” with picturesque rice terraces and vineyards. Offers stunning views of Myanmar’s mountains. Visit Rih Dil, Lengteng Hills, and local markets.
